TRAIL ITINERARY
08:00 - 16:00
Meet your guide and driver at your hotel at around 8 am to commence this full-day tour.
Our morning starts with a visit to the Oceanographic Institute. A centre for marine research, and showing the underwater world of the Nha Trang coast, is one of the main attractions in this seaside resort town. The Oceanography Institute was founded in 1923 and is home to various species of marine life, ranging from fish, coral and shellfish. The institute comprises an aquarium, a specimen room and a library that is open to the public. Located behind the main building, the large hall is where the majority of specimens of sea birds and fish, corals and remains of other marine creatures are on display.
After this visit, transfer to the Cau Da port, where you will embark on a local boat sailing to the surrounding islands. Mun Island is the best choice for snorkelling where you can see lots of live colourful corals and fishes. A mainland escape, Mun Island has been a long-time favourite for snorkelling or relaxing at one of its beaches. Approximately 10 km outside Chau Doc harbour, Hon Mun has gained name and fame for its underwater scenery with various spots around the island to satisfy your wanderlust. Only a few permanent residents live on the island who ensures that Mun Island remains a well-protected place inside the Hon Mun National Park.
There will be time for relaxing, swimming and practising water sports or other activities on the nearby Mot Island. Around noon, we head out to Hon Tam Island for a freshly cooked lunch at a local restaurant. There is sufficient time for relaxing on the beach or for the energetic – there is a choice of water sports, where we have time to enjoy that before boarding our boat back to Nha Trang harbour.
On the way back, visit an authentic Vietnamese fishing village and observe the daily life and activities before reaching your Nha Trang resort at around 4 pm.
