Explore Thailand’s Capital from Pattaya
Explore Thailand’s
Capital from Pattaya
Nicknamed the City of Angels, Bangkok is more than just a busy city. Landmarks such as the majestic
Grand Palace, surrounded by temples of name and fame, will pass by as we end our full-day
sailing over the Chao Phraya River before returning to Pattaya.
WHY THIS TOUR?
City life is not cut out for everyone, particularly when the beaches and sprawling nightlife of Pattaya draw for a period of being away from it all. Bangkok’s charm and allure is a unique blend of culture and history where modernity mixes effortlessly with the well-preserved remnants of older times and traditional lifestyle.
Excellent road conditions between Pattaya and Bangkok make travel between both places a breeze; diving into the nation’s largest metropole and seeing its highlights in one day should not be an excuse not to consider heading out and get a taste of the City of Angels.
TRAIL ITINERARY
06:00 - 19:00
A very early morning pick-up from selected resorts in Pattaya by your guide and driver for the day is included before we head out for an approximate 2-hour transfer to Bangkok. Before you know it, the recognizable skyline of apartment complexes, hotels and office buildings rises from the horizon, indicating that the capital is near. The road takes us through the central business district to Wat Traimit, the Temple of the Golden Buddha, known for its famous Golden Buddha. The image of solid gold is three meters high and weighs five and a half tons.
You continue to Wat Po, the most extensive temple in Bangkok with its colossal reclining Buddha and the Chedi of the Kings, also home to the Thai Traditional massage. A visit to Grand Palace cannot be skipped, once the Royal Resident of the King of Siam, now you are in Bangkok. Within the compound is Wat Phra Kaeo, the chapel of the Emerald Buddha, which is home to undoubtedly one of the world’s most precious image of the Lord Buddha.
The canals along the Chao Phraya River, the main transportation artery dividing the city into two parts (Bangkok and Thonburi) has always drawn visitors for a leisurely cruise over its waters. And we will do so too – as we sail along the river banks of this river, where luxurious hotels and high-rise condominium towers decorate the river banks, local life remains still visible as of today. From the contours of Chinatown to Thonburi – the former capital of the Siam Kingdom, Bangkok will surprise you and will want you to see much more of it once we end this tour. A buffet lunch is included during the day.
We will make all efforts to leave Bangkok before the rush hour as your chauffeur heads back in the same direction where you came from. We expect to arrive back at your Pattaya accommodation around 7 pm.
