Yangon Excelsior re-opens in December 2023
After a three-year hiatus, the Yangon Excelsior will once again open its doors on 1 December 2023. The luxury hotel, famed for its modern design and refined services, is the only boutique five-star accommodation option in the heart of the former capital. The property remains in excellent condition, having been maintained by staff who have been with the property since its 2018 opening.
A fusion of colonial and modern style, the hotel is housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century building that once belonged to the Steel Brothers Company, a former mining and agricultural conglomerate.
Featuring a sophisticated restaurant and bar, spa facilities and a private space for up to 100 guests, the Yangon Excelsior is located within easy reach of Sule Pagoda and other historical landmarks in the colonial heritage district.
