Visa advice for Polish, Czech and Swiss citizens
In January 2025, Vietnam announced a new 45-day visa-free travel scheme for citizens of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland, set to take effect on 1 March 2025.
To qualify for this entry regulation, travellers must book a tour with an approved Vietnamese tour operator, such as Asian Trails Vietnam. The tour operator will then submit a Visa on Arrival (VOA) application on the traveller’s behalf.
Typically, travellers with a VOA are required to pay a fee upon arrival. However, under this new regulation, the visa fee will be waived for Polish, Czech and Swiss citizens.
At present, specific details about the process and documentation required to qualify for visa-free travel remain unclear. Additionally, there is uncertainty about the processing time for applications.
In light of the current situation, Asian Trails recommends visitors follow the usual process for obtaining a visa prior to arrival in Vietnam until more information becomes available. To stay up to date with the latest travel advice, reach out to our team at Asian Trails Vietnam
