Get into gear for new cycling adventures
Asian Trails has unveiled some new extended, multi-day cycling adventures across Thailand for those eager to see the kingdom from a completely different perspective.
The specialised two-wheel tours feature carefully crafted routes in some of the country’s most spectacular destinations, including Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Chiang Mai and the Golden Triangle.
The excursions range from three to ten nights and they are limited to exclusive, small groups of two to 12 riders. Adventurers can explore quaint fishing villages, pineapple plantations and coconut groves near the shores of the Gulf of Thailand. Another option is a ride along meandering mountain trails and riverside pathways in Northern Thailand.
The 10-day Bangkok to Phuket ride is a highlight journey. This combines the best of urban, rural and coastal discovery, with exploration of rubber plantations, rainforests and historic towns featuring traditional shophouses, ornate temples and antiquated narrow streets.
For those interested in uncovering the charms of Northern Thailand, we recommend an eight-day ride from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. This takes in the former capital cities of Sukhothai and Ayutthaya where ancient history and culture are in abundance.
All the routes accommodate differing levels of cycling ability and we can supply bespoke elements to meet participants’ personal interests.
For added convenience, a support vehicle is provided on every route, providing water, mechanical assistance and a comfy seat for those that need a rest.
