Thailand’s Digital Arrival Card due May 2025
Thailand has unveiled the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), an online immigration system designed to streamline arrival and departure procedures.
Due to be operational from 1 May 2025, all foreign travellers entering Thailand by air, land or sea will be required to complete the TDAC before arrival. This new system replaces the traditional paper-based TM.6 form, which was temporarily suspended in July 2022 as part of the kingdom’s shift toward a digital-first approach of improving efficiency, reducing paperwork and enhancing data security – factors that help minimise waiting times at entry points.
The TDAC facilitates faster immigration processing by allowing travellers to submit their personal information in advance. For those who don’t complete the form before arrival, self-service kiosks and immigration officers will be available to help. The TDAC will be available in multiple languages, including Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean and Russian.
To ensure a seamless experience, the TDAC will be integrated with other Thai immigration systems, including the recently launched e-Visa system, national health screening protocols and tourist fee collection.
