Sowing seeds for trees in Malaysia
Sowing seeds for trees in Malaysia
An organisation that is changing the way people interact with our planet is the focus of a new Asian Trails’ excursion in Malaysia.
We have partnered with Free Tree Society Kuala Lumpur so guests can join fun green initiatives. This group is a leading exponent of environmental conservation through schemes such as tree replanting. To date, 42,277 trees have been provided free to urban parks, schools and roadsides for new wildlife habitats.
The ‘Rewild Malaysia’ concept also raises public awareness about the need to tackle a major decline in biodiversity. A catalogued 1,059 types of flora and 683 species of fauna face extinction in Malaysia.
Our guests can help halt this slump by helping out at the plant nursery and collecting seeds from forests.
