Shangri-La opens first hotel in Cambodia
The Shangri-La Group has debuted in Cambodia with the official opening of the Shangri-La Phnom Penh on 28 December 2024. Set within a striking tri-tower complex, which has become one of the capital’s tallest buildings, the 303-room property is located in the up-and-coming Koh Pich district. The hotel offers breathtaking views of the Mekong, Tonle Sap and Tonle Bassac rivers.
The design beautifully blends art-deco and neo-classical styles with distinctive Khmer cultural influences, creating a sophisticated, timeless atmosphere. The first phase of guest rooms is now available for booking, along with a selection of dining outlets serving authentic Cambodian and Asian cuisine. Additional amenities, including an infinity pool, spa and wellness centre, are set to open in the coming months.
The group’s signature Chinese restaurant, Shang Palace, is also set to open in early 2025, along with a rooftop bar, the perfect place for cocktails and light bites, enhanced by stunning sunset views. The hotel will also feature one of the city’s largest ballrooms, positioning it as a premier venue for events and conferences.
