Saving sea life at Bali conservation centre
A pioneering educational programme dedicated to turtle, coral and sea life protection provides for a perfect family day out.
This is revealed on a new Asian Trails’ tour to the renowned Turtle Conservation and Education Centre on Serangan, a small island off Bali’s southern coast. Visitors get a fascinating insight into measures to safeguard turtles and the wider ocean environment. There is also the opportunity to sponsor the planting of coral in the Nusa Penida Marine Protected Area, with individual coral’s bearing the supporter’s name.
This is a great place to bring kids as the itinerary includes family-orientated games, large pools to watch rehabilitated turtles swimming around in and a sandpit hatchery – so visitors may be lucky enough to see baby turtles hatch.
