Planting community spirit in Laos
Asian Trails’ team members visited a village school near the capital of Vientiane to plant trees and provide a more inspiring environment for Lao children to study and play.
Trees help to provide a source of shade from Laos’ tropical sun and also improve the atmosphere of the school grounds, adding colour and life to the surroundings. The team’s visit also included a donation of sand blocks and cement to help with the landscaping.
This fun and interactive day helped to raise awareness of environmental issues in the community, improved the school environment and ultimately contributed to offsetting carbon emissions from travel.
