Phnom Penh’s new riverside attraction

Phnom Penh has a new riverside ‘walk street’, offering a fresh space for relaxation in the lively capital.

Locals, tourists, and government officials gathered on 1st February to explore the city’s latest leisure development.

As part of a pilot initiative, a section of Sisowath Avenue – between Paschim Chamkorn Street (Street 94) and the Royal Palace in Daun Penh District – has been transformed into a pedestrian-only zone every Saturday and Sunday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm.

The aim is to enhance the riverside experience, creating an inviting space to relax, socialise and take in the charming atmosphere during leisurely walks, with splendid views of Phnom Penh’s iconic riverside.
