Hong Kong’s Ngong Ping cable car to close for maintenance

The Ngong Ping Cable Car on Hong Kong’s Lantau Island will be temporarily closed for maintenance from 2 to 12 September 2024. During the scheduled closure, visitors can continue to explore other attractions in the Ngong Ping area, including the Cable Car Discovery Centre and Motion 360. The famous Tian Tan Buddha and Po Lin Monastery are also located nearby.

Spanning 5.7 km, the Ngong Ping Cable Car is Asia’s longest bicable cable car system and offers a captivating 25-minute journey with panoramic views of North Lantau and Tung Chung Bay. The aerial ride is enhanced with the latest Crystal+ cabins which provide guests with panoramic 360-degree views through tempered glass on the bottom and all sides.
