New pedestrian bridges at Four Thousand Islands, Laos
Southern Laos has become an even more enticing destination for adventure seekers and nature lovers with the addition of five new suspension bridges that crisscross over the dramatic Li Phi Waterfalls and its surrounding riverine scenery.
Located in the Four Thousand Islands region, locally known as Si Phan Don, the new bridges range from 20 to 92 metres in length and provide an exciting new way to experience this particularly scenic part of the Mekong River.
Weaving through the landscape, the bridges provide visitors with striking views of roaring rapids and rocky outcrops from a unique, elevated vantage point. The experience combines adventure with tranquillity, as travellers walk above the river and admire the natural scenery below.
