As a driving force of the Cambodian economy – employing one-third of the national work force in 2020 – agriculture is a pillar of rural communities nationwide.
To get an insight into the daily life of a farmer, we take guests off-the-beaten track to join friendly locals as they cultivate the land.Under the guidance of a farmer and with translation from our guide, guests can partake in planting, harvesting, thatch weaving and driving a bullock cart, depending on seasonal demands.
Besides enjoyment from these activities, guests’ participation helps to provide an additional income for villagers.This half-day adventure concludes with a Khmer-style lunch served al fresco alongside the rice paddy.
