Leading expert’s guide to Langkawi
Leading expert’s guide to Langkawi
The captivating history, heritage and natural beauty of Langkawi is perfectly revealed on a half-day coast-to-coast adventure.
The discovery is led by Mr Selva, one of Malaysia’s most respected and knowledgeable guides and an accomplished naturalist. A Langkawi resident since 1999, he is passionate about sharing his unique knowledge of this idyllic location with our guests.
A leading expert on the island’s flora and fauna, Mr Selva has been at the forefront of many of the island’s wildlife protection drives. To date, he has planted over 8,000 mangrove saplings to safeguard one of Langkawi’s most important ecological resources.
Guests are conveyed from the south-west to the south-east coastline to soak up Nusantara heritage and a fascinating insight is provided into architecture created by the first colonial settlers.
The journey includes a detour off the tourist trail to explore picturesque remote villages, lush rice fields and serene farmland, providing a perfect connection with pristine nature! Participants also learn about the power of medicinal plants and taste exotic fresh fruits from plantations along the way. The excursion ends with a delicious and healthy lunch served in an authentic restaurant.
