Upgrades enrich lakeside tourism in Laos

Improved roads and upgraded tourism facilities in the vicinity of Nam Ngum Lake in Vientiane, Laos, will greatly enhance the visitor experience.

The new infrastructure was officially unveiled during a ceremony on 3 December, 2024 – a significant milestone in the region’s development.

Renowned for its scenic dining spots and relaxing boat rides, this popular lakeside destination is located 90 km north of the Lao capital, Vientiane. The recent improvements are expected to benefit local communities by creating new jobs and stimulating economic growth.
