Etihad extends network in Asia
Etihad Airways, the flagship carrier of the United Arab Emirates, is set to elevate global travel with the launch of some exciting new routes in 2025. These include six new destinations in Asia, offering travellers easier access to some of the region’s most popular locations.
The new flights connecting Abu Dhabi to Asia will begin on the 2nd October 2025 with the debut of a connection to Medan, the gateway to Indonesia’s Sumatra island. This new service will operate three times a week, providing a perfect gateway to explore Indonesia’s hidden gems.
The carrier will launch flights to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, starting on the 3rd October 2025. With five flights per week, this new route offers even more flexibility for those eager to immerse themselves in the historic charms of Cambodia’s capital.
Travellers seeking sun, sand and adventure can connect with daily flights to Krabi, Thailand, which take off from the 9th October 2025.
On the 3rd November 2025, the airline will introduce daily flights to Hanoi, the cultural heart of Vietnam, along with four weekly flights to Chiang Mai, a charming city nestled in Northern Thailand. Additionally, Etihad will offer five flights per week to the bustling metropolis of Hong Kong, China, a key hub for business, shopping and entertainment.
