Asian Trails supports ecotourism stability
The balance between protecting Laos’ natural resources and giving locals the right to make a living has been the basis for many ecotourism projects across the country.
One of the latest schemes underway is situated a short distance from Tad Fah Waterfall in the central province of Khammouane. The initiative spread over 120,000 sq-km of largely forested mountainous terrain aims to conserve the land through education and awareness-raising, while also taking advantage of tourism potential, such as the abundance of medicinal plants in this area.
