Asian Trails aims higher with elevated Sabah exploration
The dazzling landscape of Sabah is best observed from up above. Our Kota Kinabalu colleagues have taken exploration of this spectacular state to the next level with a one-hour helicopter flight.
Starting and ending in the district of Tanjung Aru, passengers get an amazing bird’s-eye view of majestic Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Malaysia that stands at 4,095 metres above sea level. The journey also takes in the lush green rice paddy fields of Kundasang and the meandering Kiulu River, a waterway flanked by age-old traditional villages and sprawling farm land.
Guests are given headphones so they can listen to the pilot’s commentary and the large windows enable uninterrupted views.
