Angkor ticketing to be simplified
Access to the Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap, Cambodia is due to be enhanced with a more simplified and modernised ticketing system.
Starting October 2024, visitors no longer need to provide personal information and photos to purchase a one-day Angkor Pass. Additionally, authorities have announced plans to develop self-service ticket machines and a dedicated mobile application to further streamline the ticketing process for one-day visitors.
Visitors who require a three-day or seven-day Angkor Pass will still be required to provide a photo for identification purposes until the end of 2024. This modernised approach reflects a commitment to improving the overall visitor experience and embracing technological advancements.
Further enhancing the visitors’ experience, security checkpoints around the Angkor Archaeological Park will be reduced, allowing visitors greater freedom and flexibility to explore the area. Visitors will no longer need to present a ticket when passing through the four main entrances of the historical zone. Instead, security checks will take place at the entrance to the temples themselves.
