Ancient drumming in Thailand
When thinking about Thai cultural entertainment, graceful ramthai dancing often comes to mind. To take it up a level and raise delegates’ energy levels, a Klongsabatchai drum performance is the perfect choice. This energetic form of percussion hails from the Northern Thai Lanna kingdom.
The spectacular drummers use different body parts, such as shoulders, elbows, legs and head to keep the beat. Formerly used during wars, Klongsabatchai means ‘the drum that leads to victory’. The rhythm of the instrument was designed to lift the spirits of men going to war. In later years, the drums were played in temples as an offering to Buddha.
In contemporary times, this mesmerising show will lift the spirits of delegates attending a team-building or an incentive in Thailand.
