Alternative vista of Hong Kong
The best way to escape the towering metropolis and fast-paced life of Hong Kong is through a pedal-powered excursion.
The 11-km Nam Sang Wai Circuit in the New Territories offers a refreshing and alternative side to this destination. Guided by local cyclists, we set off on a two-hour ride through wetlands, brimming with flora and fauna. The marshes, mangrove-clad shores of three rivers and abandoned fish farms are ripe feeding grounds for an abundance of birds and every year, an estimated 90,000 migratory birds take refuge in this place.
After absorbing relaxing scenery and enjoying a local lunch, we return to the bright lights and lofty landscape of either Kowloon or Hong Kong island.
