Tour Representative (Spanish-speaking) | Thailand
About the role

The key objective of this role is to visit Spanish-speaking clients in the destination and share all important information to make sure the clients are comfortable during their stay.

Responsibilities
  • Visit Spanish-speaking tourists or groups at their accommodation;
  • Schedule information meetings with clients to inform them about sightseeing attractions, restaurants and share all important information to make the clients feel comfortable during their stay;
  • Inform and advise about excursions and make recommendations according to the client’s preferences;
  • Sell optional tours to the clients while keeping the client’s health & safety during any booked tour or activity as highest priority and standard;
  • Coordinate with the Operations Department to confirm departure times for airport transfers, inform clients about their pick up time from the hotel, help to amend the clients’ travel programme when necessary and keep them informed about schedule changes;
  • Work closely with the Accounting and Operations teams in a respectful and fully cooperative manner;
  • Recheck all of the clients’ services in cooperation with the Operations Team while preparing the client’s visiting schedule at the office;
  • Act as the main point of contact for client complaints and provide support if clients are unsatisfied with the accommodation; provide assistance if clients require additional support such as arranging a doctor’s appointment, scheduling a meeting with a tailor or organising a vehicle during their stay;
  • Prepare all welcome letters for the clients;
  • Coordinate between the hotel and the client;
  • Be available for optional guidance during site inspections, FAM Trips, MICE and OT visits when requested;
  • Be available for tour inspection trips and prepare informative follow up reports;
  • Respectfully maintain and further enhance relationships with partner hotels and tour operators as the assigned Asian Trails Representative;
  • Properly wear staff uniform and maintain an overall positive and respectable appearance;
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications
  • Enjoy working with people and delivering outstanding customer service;
  • Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours;
  • Able to make decisions;
  • Good command of Spanish and English is essential, both verbal and written.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Become a pro-active team player with an open mind to share ideas or provide feedback in order to continuously improve Asian Trails’ services and operations;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a customer service role; experience as a Representative for a travel & tourism company is an advantage;
  • Good command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.) and computing skills;
  • Interpersonal skill, good teamwork, gentle and helpful;
  • Hardworking and friendly, service minded attitude with a sense of discretion;
  • A “Can Do” attitude, positive mindset and creative thinking is an asset.
