Tour Representative (English & German-speaking) | Thailand
About the role
Asian Trails’ Inbound English & German Tour Representative is the number one contact person for clients in the destination. He/she is the essential and critical liaison between clients, agents and Tour Admins, should there be any issue in the destination. He/she might also be required to offer advice, answer general questions or provide concierge services to clients. The Tour Representative is in direct contact with South Thailand representatives to handle any situation that may arise in those regions and reports centrally to the Inbound English & Inbound Europe Market Managers in Bangkok.
Responsibilities
- Handle the 24/7 hotline emergency mobile number for clients and oversea agents;
- Handle email correspondence and reporting to overseas agents in case of any complaints, special requests, hotel relocation, etc;
- Provide general consulting/concierge services for clients in the destination (shopping & restaurant tips, optional excursions);
- Update a standard CS report on cases and complaints; report to both the Inbound Manager and the Tour Admins when adjustments or actions are needed;
- Generate weekly arrival list and coordinate directly with Tour Admin in case of pre-known special requests (VIPs, welcome call, hotel meeting, etc.);
- When requested/advised, sell optional tours to the clients while keeping the client’s health & safety as top priority during any booked tour or activity;
- Be available for optional guidance during site inspections, FAM Trips, MICE and OT visits when requested;
- Respectfully maintain and possibly further enhance good relationships with partner hotels and tour operators as the assigned Asian Trails Representative;
- Properly wear staff uniform and maintain an overall positive and respectable appearance;
- General admin tasks might be requested during low season months.
Qualifications
- Passion for working with people and ability to deliver outstanding customer service;
- Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours;
- Able to make decisions;
- Good command of English and German is essential (both verbal and written);
- Able to work flexible hours;
- Great communication and interpersonal skills;
- Become a pro-active team player with an open mind to share ideas or feedback in order to continuously help improve overall services & operations for Asian Trails;
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a customer service role; experience as a representative for a travel & tourism company is an advantage;
- Good command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and computing skills;
- Interpersonal skills, good team work, gentle and helpful;
- Hardworking and friendly, service minded with a sense of discretion;
- A “Can Do” attitude, positive mindset and creative thinking is an asset.
