Sourcing Manager | Vietnam
About the role
The Sourcing Accommodation Manager is responsible for leading the Vietnam Accommodation Team, overseeing accommodation contracts and executing effective contracting strategies. This role involves supporting the team on managing a diverse portfolio of hotels, negotiating competitive rates and fostering strong relationships with hotel partners. The Accommodation Manager will also drive continuous process improvements and represent the team in strategic discussions and meetings.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead and supervise the Vietnam Accommodation Team, providing clear direction to ensure alignment with strategic goals;
- Motivate and develop team members to achieve high performance and meet project deadlines;
- Promote a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging effective communication and teamwork.
Strategic Contracting and Portfolio Management
- Develop and implement contracting strategies to enhance and optimise the hotel portfolios in key destinations across Vietnam;
- Negotiate competitive rates and favourable terms with hotel partners, securing exclusive deals and promotions;
- Maintain strong relationships with existing hotel partners and establish connections with new ones;
- Conduct regular evaluations of hotel partnerships and performance to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and contractual compliance.
Project and Performance Management
- Plan, manage and monitor key accommodation-related projects, ensuring that objectives are met on time and within scope;
- Identify and implement improvements in the contracting process to maximise efficiency and effectiveness;
- Oversee the quality and relevance of contracted rates and promotions, ensuring competitiveness in the market.
Market Insights and Data Analysis
- Gather and analyse data on market trends, hotel performance and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions;
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for Regional Sourcing Management, highlighting performance metrics and opportunities for growth;
- Keep abreast of industry changes and competitor activities to make data-driven adjustments to strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field;
- Extensive experience in hotel contracting and accommodation management, ideally within the travel or hospitality sector in Vietnam;
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively;
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills;
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools;
- An ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment;
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese is required;
- Strong leadership and team management abilities;
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement;
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills;
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks;
- Adaptability to fast-paced environments and changing priorities.
