Reservations Executive | Malaysia & Singapore
About the role
The Reservations Executive plays an important role in handling the complete reservation process, starting from receiving requests from travel agents abroad. The ideal candidate will prepare offers and quotations and carry out timely follow-up on bookings for all services with our branch offices, hotels and suppliers in Malaysia and Singapore. The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing and booking all travel-related services with hotels and other suppliers, as well as the invoicing and payment collection process.
Responsibilities
- Handle reservations and quotations for all travel-related requirements for both individual and group requests;
- Create and advise about tailor-made travel packages;
- Follow up on sent over programmes;
- Ensure that all relevant data is uploaded into Asian Trails’ administration system and filed appropriately;
- Monitor and appropriately follow up on accounting and payment procedures with customers;
- Coordinate with the Operations Department within our offices for booking land services;
- Maintain excellent business relationships with suppliers and customers;
- Provide on-the-ground support for confirmed group and site inspections.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in the hospitality and tourism industry;
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a travel & tourism company;
- Good command of English (both verbal and written) is essential;
- Knowledge of Malaysia and Singapore is a must;
- Experience with Destination Management software is an advantage;
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and excellent computing skills;
- Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours during peak season;
- A “Can Do” attitude, positive mindset and creative thinking is an asset;
- This position is only open for Malaysian nationals.
