Land Services Contracting Executive | Malaysia & Singapore
About the role

The Land Services Contracting Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing contracts with providers of land-based services, including transportation, tours, activities and other ground arrangements. This role ensures that all agreements meet the company’s quality, pricing and service standards while supporting Asian Trails’ objective to deliver exceptional experiences to clients. Based in Kuala Lumpur, the Land Services Contracting Executive plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence and enhancing customer satisfaction by securing optimal terms and reliable service options.

Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and secure competitive contracts with land service providers, such as transportation suppliers, freelance tour guides, theme parks and other related suppliers;
  • Continuously monitor supplier performance and pricing to ensure the best value for the customer;
  • Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to understand customer requirements and source suitable travel products;
  • Maintain detailed records of all supplier agreements and contractual terms;
  • Identify new supplier opportunities and explore possibilities for expanding the company’s travel product portfolio;
  • Provide support and guidance to the sales team on supplier capabilities and service level;
  • Assist with the development and implementation of contracting strategies and policies;
  • Ensure that the products contracted meet the requirements in terms of quality, Asian Trails Malaysia’s code of conduct for suppliers, health and safety requirements and Travelife standards;
  • Ensure that all contracts, licenses, insurance, health and safety documentation and supplier code of conduct are signed and filed in an organised manner for easy reference.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in the hospitality and tourism industry;
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a travel & tourism company – experience in a similar position is a prerequisite;
  • Excellent command of English (both verbal and written) is essential;
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and excellent computing skills;
  • Knowledge of Malaysia and its destinations is a must;
  • Able to delegate, cooperate and coordinate with all concerned persons and institutions within the travel industry;
  • Knowledge of the functions, operations and missions of the department;
  • The ideal candidate must be detailed-orientated, service-minded and have some experience in negotiations as well as a drive to exceed expectations;
  • Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours during peak season;
  • A “Can Do” attitude, positive mindset and creative thinking is an asset.
