Ho Chi Minh City Reunification Day traffic advisory

In the lead-up to the 50th Reunification Day celebrations on 30 April 2025, significant traffic disruptions are expected due to rehearsals and festivities taking place across Ho Chi Minh City. Road closures will impact 20 central streets, including parts of Hai Ba Trung, Pham Ngoc Thach, Pasteur, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, as well as Ba Son Bridge and other key areas.

Traffic restrictions will be in place during the following times: Friday 25 April, 5.30 pm to Saturday 26 April 1 am (backup, Saturday 26 April, 5.30 pm to Sunday 27 April 1 am); Sunday 27 April 3 am to midnight (backup, Monday 28 April, 3 am to midnight); Wednesday 30 April, 3 am to midnight.

Barriers and checkpoints have been put in place to control the flow of people and vehicles. Only pedestrians with valid ID (passport or ID card) will be allowed to access the restricted areas to reach their hotel or place of accommodation.

Asian Trails will work closely with guides to communicate with guests and minimise disruption to tours. Alternative routes or earlier departures may be arranged to ensure smooth operations and guest comfort.
