Sichuan Airlines links with Spanish capital

Sichuan Airlines will launch a new non-stop service connecting Chengdu, China and Madrid, Spain, starting 27 April 2025.

Covering a distance of 9,210 km between Chengdu Tianfu International Airport and Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, the flights will operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The airline will deploy an Airbus A350-900, featuring 28 business class and 303 economy class seats. Flight 3U3803 will depart Chengdu at 1.40 am, arriving in Madrid at 8.50 am, local time. The return flight, 3U3804, will depart the Spanish capital at 11.05 am and land in Chengdu at 5 am local time, the following day.

With the launch of this route, Madrid becomes the seventh Spanish city to offer direct air links to China. The new service augments Sichuan Airlines’ European network, which already includes destinations such as Istanbul and Rome.
