About the role
This important role within the Contracting Department at Asian Trails Indonesia is required to develop and maintain relationships and negotiate with hotels and resorts, ensuring the company receives the best rates, conditions and services. The role includes oversight of the contracting process, contract negotiations, document management and clear communication with the data-loading team.
At the same time, classic B2B yield management skills will also be important in this role as the successful candidate will be responsible for analysing market trends and sales strategies while monitoring competitor performance to enable effective yield management, especially for hotel or resort bookings. This role ensures product availability and that margins are maximised at all times. Liaising with sales departments, you will identify and drive occupancy with our hotel partners.
We are looking for someone detail-oriented with good technical skills that also knows how to negotiate and has a creative and flexible mind.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate contracts with hotels and resorts to secure competitive rates and favourable terms for the agency;
- Draft, review and manage contracts, ensuring that all terms and conditions are clear, legally compliant and aligned with the company’s goals;
- Maintain up-to-date records of all active contracts and agreements;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure smooth operational workflows and service quality;
- Regularly communicate with suppliers to address any concerns, resolve issues and keep up with new products and services;
- Monitor supplier performance, including quality control and service standards;
- Continuously research the market for new hotels and resorts to enhance the agency’s offerings;
- Analyse market trends and competitor offerings to negotiate the best deals and pricing structures;
- Identify and assess potential new suppliers to expand the agency’s range of travel services;
- Monitor the cost-effectiveness of contracts and ensure that all negotiated rates are within the agency’s financial objectives;
- Ensure all contracts adhere to applicable laws, regulations and industry standards, including those related to consumer protection and travel regulations;
- Coordinate with other departments such as product, inbound and operations to ensure that contracted services meet customer expectations and operational needs;
- Provide guidance and support to the product, inbound and operations teams regarding contractual terms and offerings;
- Act as the primary point of contact for any issues that arise during the execution of contracts, including discrepancies in services or payments;
- Resolve conflicts between suppliers and the agency, ensuring that client services are not impacted;
- Keep detailed records of all contracts, negotiations and agreements.
Qualifications
- Indonesian national;
- Bachelor’s degree in tourism and/or related working experience;
- Prior experience in directly managing tourism B2B digital marketing with focus on yield management;
- Fluency in English and a good command of other European languages would be an advantage;
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of enthusiasm and motivation;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Analytical and commercial in their approach, with effective problem-solving aptitude;
- Strategic thinker with strong market knowledge;
- Attention to detail, ability to translate data into understandable and actionable information;
- Able to present and influence at board level;
- Dynamic and motivating with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and deadlines;
- Proactive and creative mentality with curiosity and desire to learn;
- Exceptional organisational and project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects;
- Proficient computer and system skills;
