Group Charter Supervisor (Inbound Latin Market) | Thailand
About the role
The role of Group Charter Supervisor (Inbound Latin Market) is crucial to ensuring the efficient running of the department within the company and for all shareholders. The successful candidate will supervise the group quotation process and the reservation process with suppliers and will also handle requirements in the destination.
Responsibilities
- Handle group quotation requests from Spanish charter group market;
- Deliver competitive and attractive quotations, adhering to strict turnaround times;
- Follow up with agents on acceptance of proposals and materialisation of business;
- Consult and inform the agent about the destination and suggest adequate products;
- Conduct regular meetings with the agent to review business progress;
- Monitor budgets, operating costs and optimise margins wherever possible;
- Input all services in the reservation management system, prepare all documents (such as itinerary and vouchers) for the operations department to hand over to clients and guides;
- Train, motivate and supervise the charter group reservations team;
- Ensure a smooth relationship within the charter group department and with all other departments (operations, accounting, sourcing, systems and human resources);
- Review year-round cost sheets and allotments in close collaboration with the team’s manager and all supporting departments;
- Solve internal and external operational issues and coordinate with Asian Trails’ representatives;
- General administration tasks;
- Report to the Latin Charter Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in tourism;
- Good command of English (Spanish or Portuguese an advantage);
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a travel & tourism company, preferably in the Latin Market;
- Specific destination knowledge of Thailand and/or South-East Asia;
- Experience with SIC and GIT/series bookings are an advantage;
- Experience with LEMAX software an advantage;
- Good command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc);
- Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours during peak season;
- A “Can Do” attitude, positive mindset and creative thinking is an asset;
- This position is only open for Thai nationals.
