MICE Project Manager (Indian Market) | Vietnam
About the role

This role involves overseeing the entire process of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) requests for the Indian Market, from initial inquiry to successful execution. The Project Manager will proactively identify new business opportunities and foster strong client relationships. Upon receiving a specific request, the MICE Project Manager will consult with the client, recommend suitable services and provide pricing. After confirmation, they will coordinate and manage the event or tour, ensuring smooth operation. Additionally, the role includes supporting business development, contributing to product innovation and striving for operational excellence at every stage.

Responsibilities
  • Help to lead and manage the Indian department at Asian Trails Vietnam;
  • Manage and operate MICE groups from India in the north of Vietnam;
  • Negotiate with suppliers and find suitable new suppliers for the Indian market;
  • Correspond with overseas travel agents and partners to provide accurate and up-to-date travel information;
  • Create new products and MICE itineraries that match the specific needs of the Indian market; write periodical newsletter on product updates;
  • Prepare a monthly sales report;
  • Ensure smooth communication and cooperation with agents; respond to enquiries within 24 hours or maximum of 48 hours;
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure all services are booked properly;
  • Learn and accurately use all aspects of our pricing and back-office system;
  • Follow up on payments with agents that do not have credit facilities;
  • Stay up to date on all tourism-related issues in the destination;
  • Perform any other duties requested by the management including sales calls;
  • Find new suppliers and new products for MICE.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years’ work experience in tourism or MICE industry;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team organisation skills;
  • Excellent project management and planning skills;
  • Excellent negotiation skills and tactfulness;
  • Excellent English (verbal and written); other languages such as Spanish, Italian or German are a plus;
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment;
  • Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office, excel, internet and other useful software;
  • Enjoy high pressure working environment;
  • Dynamic, independent, resourceful, mature and results oriented.
