Asian Trails contributes to clean water in Laos

As part of our commitment to giving back and making a difference in the places we visit, Asian Trails has donated a ceramic water purifier to a temple in the capital city of Vientiane, Laos.

The water cleansing product by TerraClear makes it easier for local residents and temple visitors to access clean drinking water, as the porous nature of the ceramic container filters out harmful microorganisms at an average rate of three to five litres per hour.

The TerraClear ceramic water purifier was installed at Wat Simuang Temple, a small, yet highly revered Buddhist place of worship in the eastern part of the city. Asian Trails’ guests can utilise the water filter during visits to the shrine in order to reduce plastic waste while travelling.
