Customer Service Executive | Malaysia & Singapore
About the role

Customer service is of vital importance to all organisations in the travel and tourism sector. The position of Customer Service Executive at Asian Trails is required to ensure all clients are satisfied with provided services. This involves providing helpful information, answering questions and responding to complaints. This role requires excellent communication and problem solving skills. Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours during peak season are to be expected, as well as a “Can Do” attitude, positive mindset and creative thinking. Based in Kuala Lumpur, the ideal candidate will become a part of a great team of passionate travel colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare Welcome Folder and arrange Welcome Meeting at hotel within 24 hours of clients’ arrival time;
  • Provide itinerary, ground support, optional tour sales and other crucial details to clients;
  • Respond to clients’ questions and concerns in a timely and accurate way via phone, email or chat and report any irregularity/problems to superior;
  • Prepare and submit daily report of Optional Sales and cash collection;
  • Prepare monthly updates on hotels, work, events, news and available products;
  • Handle the company’s hotline (24/7 on rotation basis), attend to clients’ requests on the ground and investigate complaints as they arise.
Qualifications
  • Diploma/degree/higher education in the hospitality and tourism industry;
  • Excellent command of Malaysian and English (both verbal and written) is essential; other languages are a plus;
  • Candidate must have related working experience (at least 1-3 years);
  • Proficient knowledge of PC operations and software applications, especially MS Office, e-mail and the Internet as well as good typing skills;
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours during peak season.
  • A “Can Do” attitude, positive mindset and creative thinking;
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills are preferred for this role;
  • Working under pressure is to be expected.
