New Khmer restaurant elevates Siem Reap dining

A new arrival in Cambodia’s dining scene is serving up tantalising, traditional Khmer dishes, just 10 minutes’ drive from the famous Angkor Wat in Siem Reap.

Taking its name from a locally grown water plant that is often used in Khmer soups, MAOM Khmer Cuisine is set within a traditional wooden house with over four decades of history. The charming home sets the scene for a warm and inviting experience, combining traditional cuisine with an appreciation of traditional life and architecture.

On the menu, guests can expect traditional Khmer flavours presented in a modern way, such as banana blossom salad or roasted chicken and Khmer dried fish mixed with garlic, herbs, shallots, shredded green mango and peanuts.
