Guest Relations Manager | Cambodia
About the role
The Guest Relations Manager at Asian Trails Cambodia will be required to meet and assist clients during their stay in Siem Reap. The successful candidate will be required to organise hotel inspections as required by business partners and handle any additional requests that may arise.
Responsibilities
- Meet and assist clients during their stay in Siem Reap (including VIP guests and business partners travelling on familiarisation trips);
- Communicate with assigned guides regarding any information that may be relevant to the guests, such as reconfirmation of flights, dietary requirements or other specific requests;
- After meeting with clients, send a report to update Asian Trails Cambodia’s head office in Phnom Penh;
- Assist with organising hotel inspections as required by business partners;
- Handle additional duties as requested by guests;
- Develop programmes and itineraries in line with market trends and to suit Asian Trails’ specific markets and clients;
- Issue information letters to clients regarding any specific situation in Cambodia that might affect their travel plans (e.g. water level in Tonle Sap, etc.);
- Update the Product Department about new openings in Siem Reap such as hotels, restaurants, activities, museums, art galleries, etc.;
- Handle additional duties as requested by the Managing Director.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in tourism, business administration or related field from an accredited university;
- At least 3 years’ experience in a travel agency or related industry;
- Knowledge of English language and computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and other software);
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- High level of commitment, service minded and strong work ethic;
- Ability to work under pressure, both independently and within a team;
- Be flexible with work hours, especially during high season when the workload can become intense;
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills;
- Strong sense of responsibility and a professional presentation;
- This position is open for Cambodian nationals only.
