Rainbow adds colour to Yangtze tour
A new cruise programme on the Yangtze River in China has expanded travel options for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender travellers.
Rainbow Cruises takes guests on a section of the longest river in Asia and the third-longest in the world. Itineraries include voyages alongside the Three Gorges, a succession of spectacular canyons, or a passage near one of the planet’s most ambitious engineering projects; the Three Gorges Dam.
The completion of this barrier in 2009 created a reservoir over 600 km long. Besides a daytime view of colossal structures and some of China’s most spectacular scenery, evenings are spent enjoying themed parties on the expansive deck.
