Explore Khao Sam Roi
Yod National Park
An almost surreal landscape unveils when entering deep in the sinkhole of Khao Sam Roi Yod
National Park, a natural treasure of immaculate beauty. Just south of Hua Hin, this
half-day tour hikes and climbs towards one of Thailand’s photo genetic sites.
WHY THIS TOUR?
Thailand has gained name and fame for its extraordinary natural splendour – national parks aplenty, nature lovers may only touch the surface of what is available in the Kingdom. When choosing the Hua Hin / Cha-am region as your holiday destination, you will be in for a treat.
A pleasant drive through the rich, fertile agricultural land south of Hua Hin and you reach the “Three Hundred Peaks” or Sam Roi Yod National Park, Thailand’s oldest national park. This protected area is a natural wonderland of limestone caves, dense forests, abundant waterfalls, mangrove swamps and isolated beaches, all within a 90-square kilometre size protected part of Central Thailand.
TRAIL ITINERARY
08:00 - 13:00
Our journey in the southern direction starts with a pleasant, one-hour drive through the Prachuab Khirikhan province, widely known for its pineapple and coconut plantations.
A stop to get an up and close view and explaining the cultivation and harvesting procedures to get from seed to the final, juicy end product. As soon as we enter the national park, we make our way to a secluded fishing village where visitors are taken back in time to land from yesteryear set in stunning scenery. We then proceed by fishing boat to a secluded beach which is the starting point for a steep climb to Phrayanakorn Cave.
Cited for its location in the protective realm of Sam Roi Yod National Park, the Phraya Nakhon Cave has regularly been earmarked as the attraction to visit Pranburi. A steep climb and short boat trip will bring visitors to the vastness of this cavern system and the Phra Thinang Khuha Kharuehat, a pavilion constructed during the reign of King Rama V in 1890. A natural sinkhole provides dramatic light scenes during certain moments of the day, bathing this pavilion in natural sunlight. This distinctive pavilion is now used as the symbol of the Prachuab Khiri Khan Province.
After a much-needed lunch, we leave your clients all by themselves for a leisurely afternoon on the white sandy beach. In case customers prefer to relax on the beach and do not fancy the 430-meter high climb up the mountain to Phraya Nakorn Cave will have plenty of time to enjoy Laem Sala Beach. Lunch will be served on the beach, with ample time for swimming and sunbathing before we return to your respective hotels along Hua Hin / Cha-am.
