Park offers a glimpse into Singapore’s past
Singapore’s Thomson Nature Park has been specially curated to provide visitors with an insight into life during the ‘Kampung’ days, the era when people lived in simple houses in rustic communities, ahead of high-rise apartments.
New information also provides a greater insight into the exceptional flora and fauna, including rare animals such as the Raffles’ Banded Langur. This green space is Singapore’s seventh nature park and it contains a 3.8-km network of nature trails. Walkers will encounter the heritage of a former Hainanese village that originated in the 1930s. After an invigorating trek, food outlets serving local dishes are on-site.
